November will be our final film night at Leavenheath Village Cinema. From its start in 2010 until today it has given much pleasure to filmgoers. A monthly outing to chat with friends over a cup of tea or glass of wine and an icecream with the bonus of a film, all without having to drive to Colchester or further afield became a regular event for many and will be much missed by them. Our very grateful thanks go to all our helpers throughout the years – Brenda Chapman, Lesley and Geoff Collin, Keith Willis, Glyn Morgan, Gill and Ken Fuller, Stella Grumann, Marion and Malcolm Jones, Jane and Alice Gurden, John Garrett, Yvonne and Ian Roder, Herbie Whalley, Roz and Paul Mortlock, Ben Sadler, Jill Dunkley, Sarah Hunter, Alex McAtamney and many, many others. Sadly Marion, who has been the kingpin in running the cinema in recent years, Malcolm, Sarah, Yvonne and Ian are all ‘retiring’ which means we don’t have enough helpers to continue so it is with regret that the curtain has to come down. Thank you to all who have come along and enjoyed the films.
